Versamatic Nomenclature

    The Evolution of Versamatic Nomenclature

    E-Series

The Versamatic E-series nomenclature was used for many years to identify the basics of a pump construction so that major components and sometimes the application was identified. Additional specifications varied in length and were called out by adding to the end of the model number, for example FP, -F, or -B-ATEX.

Today, as designs evolve, there are more construction and material options that are less obvious or even hidden internally to the pump but nevertheless vital to performance or a particular application. We felt it was important to create a new nomenclature to explicitly call out each of these options and build a higher level of detail in the pump model number.

    Valor

The new nomenclature began with the VALOR 1” poly which has a significantly different design than E-Series. It was also adapted to the ROCKSTAR models which are our 2” poly flap pumps now with Stainless flaps and seats. As future models are released, they will adopt the new nomenclature.

The new nomenclature allows us to identify the product line and valve type up front and specifically identifies other options such as; back-up diaphragm material, air valve construction, lithium compatibility, aluminum free construction, ATEX I or ATEX II level, port orientation, and any future additions.
